Icarus is a story about the hubris of man, the project was a test of my abilities gained over the last four years based on a story that I grew up with as a child. The project focuses on storytelling using color and texture to express the tone of the story page by page.  

 

The story developed through research into the different ways the story is taught to people and how the themes are expressed. My process involved listening to different media that was based on the different weathers/ domains in the story I.e., the sound of lightning storms had a visual of sharp and pointed whereabouts the visual from space came based off the way the void of space was portrayed in the Magnus Archives and audios in the NASA databanks.
